Join UTA's School of Urban and Public Affairs in celebrating Arlington as a great public space! Lively public spaces, activated by people, enhance a city. What better way to showcase how far downtown Arlington has come than with a "living plaza". Let's put Downtown Front and Center.

Thank you note:-

We would like to thank you for your participation in "Downtown Front and Center" - we had a lot of fun and hope you had an exciting and successful day! We are so glad you joined us in our venture to show the community what Downtown Arlington has to offer!

We'd also like to know how to improve this event - in case we can do it again or to pass your knowledge on to whomever desires to take the torch.

How could the site have been laid out differently?
Do you think there is a better site for this event in Downtown Arlington?
Do you think this mimicked the feel of a good city street?
Or do you think it was too novel of an event - more of a fair?
Did you think there was a good variety of activities, too much or too little?
What did you like the best?
What did you like the least?

Again thank you for participating,
And we look forward to your feedback. Please use the form to left to provide your feedback.

Thank you,

The Living Plaza:

A "living plaza" is a designed to show what a public space could be like everyday with more life, more design, and more information. The first living plaza, originally created in partnership between Team Better Block, bcWorkshop, the City Design Studio, Trinity Trust, and the Dallas Institute, was held in April 2011 at Dallas City Hall. It enhanced an under utilized public space north to the City Hall with flexible seating options, trees and shade, recreational space, entertainment and food. Overall, it was a success sparking a monthly re-enactment of the original event between April and October to encourage daily use of the plaza, specifically during lunchtime.
